Central Park

On this afternoon end of automn, without expecting it, we were about to undertake quite a long walk. To be true, Central Park was not initially on our list, since we thought arriving in NY only at the beginning of the evening. Who isn't aware of riding alone (thought, three isn't much better) in CP, by such a nice starry sky...

Central Parc is a protected green space, of about 4 km2, all in lenght, right in the heart of Manhattan.

Since the sun was still up, our three zeros went towards the south-west entrance. I must say that it is really much cleaner than I thought. After few steps, we discover this big rock, popping out throught the trees. The area is ideal for taking some pictures, especially from the top of this natural protubérance.

Pictures of the south edge. The frist two, near the entrance.
The third one, after passing the frist field.

While going up north, the rock, the wood and the paths leave space for the greenery.

Pictures taken within the first field. The first two, towards the south. The thid one, towards north-west.

A bit farther, the frist of 3 large ponds found in the park. A cobblestone decorated with a fountain welcomes us. When we arrived, there was a married coupled being photographed.

Pictures taken near the pond.

Feeling that the afternnon was ending soon, we decided to go towards the eastern border of the park: the 5th avenue.

Small amusement park, at one of the park's eastern exit.

Even so we wound around here and there, yet we actually coverred only one third of the park.

While riding down the 5th, we were going towards the Empire State Building, few time before supper.
