From Central Park, we wanted to get to the Empire State Building (ESB). The ESB is located on 5th avenue, at the corner of the 34th street.
In spite of the time getting late, yet there was enough of it to visit the monument. In the entrance hall, we can see an impressive artwork on the main wall, which represents the actual building.

We thus went up to the ?th floor. From that height we had an excellent view over the city, despite the anti-suicide bars.
Meanwhile, darkness came over. The intense lighting all around the balcony made our pictrures' background too dark. Because of this, any attemp to picture the city was futile.
We're sorry not being able to let you apreciate the magnificient sight of the city at its true merit from this giant belvedere, but dont't worry, it is quite nothing compared to what to expect from the World Trade Center.

However, the expérience worth it.
In this first New-York evening, we went to eat in a nearby fast food, then, we walked around. Among other things we rode around the Rockerfeller center, those large white buildings, and the seasonal ice rink.
The journey being particularly filled, we decided to get back to the base camp for a short sleeping night well deserved.
