My journey in France...

The sights

West of the Côte d'Émeraude (Emerald Coast), June 2nd 2000. From St-Malo, go along the wertern coastline up to Cancale, where begins the Mont-St-Michel's bay.

First, I went to St-Malo in order to take more pictures along the inner-walls. The place was already full of tourists; So did I tell myself that a photo of the inner-walls, seen from Dinard, would be worth going.

Between Dinard and St-Malo is the Rance river, like as the St-Laurence river between Lévis and Québec city. I could stop at a place to takes some shots.

Here's a view of Dinard's southern side:

From where I was, one could see the St-Malo's inner-walls (right part of the image):

Then, I went to downtown Dinard. There too it was full of tourists. So did I go back towards St-Malo, and went alongside the coastline. From St-Malo, one follows the road that leads to Cancale. On the road, I spotted a high viewpoint from where I could take the following pan:

Close-up on the islet within the cove:

I went up to the Pointe du Grouin and I came back on my steps.

On the way to Cancale, something on the roadmap aroused my curiosity: sculpted rocks. I sought for the place, and found other photos to take:

A funny thing about the making of a pan:

When I take shots in order to mount a pan later on, the pictures are taken one after the others. To do so, I must spot a point of reference from the previous photo, and frame the next picture in function of this point. But, certain objects in the scene may move in the mean time. That's actually what happened in the case of this walking couple:

In fact, they are the 2 same people. They were shot in 2 different photos, but at the time of the montage, they got upon twice into the same picture!
