My journey in France...

The diary

Week of June 4th 2000.

Date Previous week Next week
Sunday June 4th
  • Today I went to Dinard and I rode along the coast toward West up to Guildo.
    • Again, I got nice images of the Côte d'Émeraude; the West part this time.
    • I found something interesting on the Arguenon's shore.

Monday  June 5th
  • Yes Sir! A friend joined me today.
    • Suddenly, I forgot my isolation.
    • It's good to see a fellow countryman!
    • In fact, I just saw him for 5 minutes... Then I went to my desk for the rest of the day.
    • We kept the celebratations for the evening: we went boozing to the Vivaldi.
    • It makes a long time I didn't have such a party!

Tuesday  June 6th
  • 7h00: Drrriiinnnggg!!!
    • 7h00:01s: $%?&*, not yet!
    • 7h01: I have one of those headaches.
    • 8h30: Well it's time to get up now.
    • 8h31: It hursts from everywhere!
    • 8h45: Let's go to the job.
  • In the parking where I work:
    • "Hey you! The big cars park at the end."
    • "The big who???"
    • "I said the big cars."
    • "By the way, this is a Passat; it's not a Crown Victoria!"
    • It appears they never saw a Dodge Ram 2500 Diesel Cummins 4x4 Laramie SLT King Cab.
    • THAT is a big car!
  • 20h00: Go to bed!

Wednesday   June 7th
  • After one month in France, I beleive it's time to tale stock of my stay.
    • After one month, the easiest thing I did is to drop my soap while I take a shower.
    • After one month, the hardest thing I did is to $%?&* pick it up!
    • I sure a sardine would feel cramped inside this shower box.
    • Imagine a whale now...
    • It could I've ben worst: the door could have open by the inside only.
    • I think I'd still be locked in, while I'm writing those lines.
    • But it still could have been worst than that: I could have been in jail...

Thursday June 8th
  • Perhaps everyboday were talking about the Rocket in Québec last week, but here, everybody are talking about Roland Garros.
    • It is due to the participation of the French tennis players: Cédric ? and Mary Pierce.

Friday June 9th
  • It's going weel since a while.
    • Maybe too well...
    • I beleive to think I'm gonna a have a bad-lock quite soon.
    • I usually feel those things from far.
    • It's rare that nothing bad happened for such a long time.

Saturday June 10th
  • Today I explored the South rather than the coast.
    • I went to Châteaugiron (château) by the country roads.
    • Then I visited the Roche-aux-Fées (dolmens).
    • Finally I went up North to St-Aubin-du-cormier (rochers).
